We had our first home visit today. I thought we were only going to have one visit, but turns out we're really having two.
My contract ended last Friday, and I picked up one that started today. So I left work early on my first day, thinking I was going to take care of this once and for all.
Guess I was wrong.
So I have to take a day off somwhere in the next month and lose a days pay. Because once again, I picked up another contract with no vacation or paid days off. Oy.
But back to the actual visit. It went well. We talked for over 2 1/2 hours, and she said that she still had another two hours or so of questions and discussions.
Thank God I like her more than the one in Texas.
So all in all I think we had a good day.
The Next Step in life is often the most frightening. This is my attempt to understand it, think it through and move on to the next.

Monday
This coming Monday marks a milestone. We're officially beginning our new homestudy in our new home state. I have a feeling that the Director of Social Work with this agency is giving us a break on the cost because I was adopted through them many eons ago. So they're charging us the price of an update. Which technically it is, but we're having to RE DO everything. And I do mean _EVERYTHING_. We even have to get our medicals re-done.
So this woman seems pretty neat. We'll have to see what it turns out to be. Y'all know I won't leave you hanging, and will be back once the visit is done.
Now I just have to bully DH into making his appointment. This may be more difficult. God grant me the grace ... or however that goes.

We have a name!
We've finally come to a conclusion on a name, and I just wanted to note the date/time/era that we came to that damn conclusion.
Because its taken us FOUR years to come to this!!! YAY
Connor Elias.
